Frisco sperm bank offers semen cryopreservation
Men who are interested in preserving their sperm in a sperm bank for later use are often introduced by the team of Legacy Male Health to cryopreservation methods. Frisco, Plano, and Dallas area men can provide their sperm for our team to essentially “freeze.” This is done for a variety of reasons.
Why freeze sperm?
Sperm may be frozen for many purposes:
- Men who are not ready for fatherhood but are concerned about maintaining sperm for future children may consider semen cryopreservation to keep sperm available for insemination later.
- Patients who are about to undergo treatments such as chemotherapy or surgery that can impair ejaculation may be advised to consider a sperm bank to preserve their sperm in the event medical changes occurs which cause infertility.
Is it effective?
Semen cryopreservation has been done successfully since the 1950s, and Dr. Buch, our director, has been cryopreserving sperm since 1987 with numerous resultant pregnancies.
